Helping Families since 1963

Since CHILD, Inc. was first incorporated as the Boys Home of Delaware in 1963, its mission and goals have expanded to meet the critical needs of neglected, dependent, and abused children, to help families in crisis, and to improve family life.

To accomplish its mission, Child, Inc. provides direct services such as shelters, domestic violence treatment programs, and specialized foster care, prevention programs such as parenting classes and assistance, and community advocacy for children and their families.

Mission

To be the leading advocate for Delaware’s children.  We provide creative prevention and treatment programs that meet the changing needs of families.  We serve dependent, neglected and abused children and their parents.  We provide programs for those involved in domestic violence situations, especially children.  By protecting the victims and treating those responsible for acts of domestic violence we help children heal.
