Empowerment Therapy Group and Weekly Support Group
CHILD, Inc. offers a 12-week therapy group which emphasizes emotional/physical safety and developing an improved sense of self. Women are invited to explore options that lead to self-empowerment. In addition, CHILD, Inc. provides a drop-in support group. This group is open each week to any woman who is a victim of survivor of domestic violence.
Treatment Services for Abused Persons
CHILD, Inc. offers individual and group counseling for victims of all forms of domestic violence.
Treatment Services for Abused Persons in Recovery
This program offers ongoing treatment services for chemically dependent victims of domestic violence. Individual and group therapy will enable victims to break the cycle of abuse and chemical dependency while developing a network of support and self-care.
Domestic Violence Counseling Interventions
CHILD, Inc. offers state certified counseling services for both men and women. The participants in the services have been identified as domestic violence perpetrators or offenders. Participation in these services can be either voluntary or court mandated.
Helping Children Heal
CHILD, Inc. provides counseling services to children who have witnessed domestic violence in their families. Counselors use age appropriate techniques, including play therapy for younger children. The Helping Children Heal program focuses on safety planning, working through feelings related to the violence, and developing skills to break the intergenerational cycle of violence.
