DELTA Project Coordinator
To develop, plan, and initiate comprehensive intimate partner
violence prevention
programs for youth in Delaware's school system. Additional
responsibilities
include coordinating with local, state, and national violence prevention efforts
and for building community capacity to reduce and eliminate intimate partner
violence. Requires degree in related field. Required knowledge and
skills include:
willingness and ability to constructively confront issues of gender, race, and
oppression; knowledge of community organizing tools and techniques; and
ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred
knowledge and
experience includes: knowledge of local and national domestic violence
intervention and prevention resources, demonstrated experience in successful
coalition building and community activism, experience coordinating school-based
programs, and experience reviewing materials for web pages and/or moderating

Project PRIDE Counseling, Part-Time
To provide psycho-educational groups to adolescents in the
school setting; to
facilitate educational presentations in the schools on dating violence and
healthy
relationships issues; and to provide individual counseling to youth who have
experienced unhealthy dating relationships. Must have a graduate degree
from
an accredited college or university in behavioral or social sciences and a
minimum
of 2 years experience in a social service or child-serving agency. Must be
willing to maintain a flexible scheduled. This part-time position requires
20 hours
per week with a major focus on services in the schools/wellness centers.
Particular consideration will be given to candidates with experience working
with adolescent populations. This is a one year contract position with a
possibility of

Residential Counselors, Part Time
To
work in CHILD, Inc.’s domestic violence shelters. Responsibilities include
but are not limited to admission, monitoring of shelter clients, recordkeeping,
answering hotline calls, and assisting with household maintenance.
Requires degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience,
demonstrated problem-solving ability, and the ability to interact with a diverse
client population with a variety of needs. Successful applicant will have
the ability to bring positive energy, initiative, and cooperation to participate
on a staff team. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, sometimes on
short notice, including nights, weekends and holidays, and to carry out a
