Volunteer Coordinator, Part-Time
Domestic Violence Advocacy Program

Child/Youth Service Worker, Part-Time
Governor Terry Children's Center

Responsibilities include:  receiving, recording, counseling and assigning young people who will be coming into the emergency home and helping to maintain their physical and emotional well-being.  Requires degree in the Behavioral Sciences, or equivalent education and experience, and the desire to work with children and youth.  Must possess problem-solving abilities, the ability to work positively in a team environment, and the ability to interact with a diverse and challenging client population in stressful situations.  Must be willing and able to perform household tasks.  Schedule may vary depending on the needs of the agency and will include working overnights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.  Applicant must have a valid driver's license, the level of automobile insurance required by CHILD, Inc., a satisfactory driving record, and a vehicle in good working condition. Family Visitation Center Shift Supervisor/Visitation Monitor (Part-Time)
Domestic Violence Services

This position provides supervision and support to families who have experienced domestic violence and who need assistance in re-establishing or maintaining a safe, healthy, non-violent relationship between child/ren and non-custodial parents.  The goal of the visitation and exchange program is to protect the children's safety and the safety of the custodial parent, while providing for meaningful visitation.  Requires Bachelor's Degree in Human Services Field or proof effective, equivalent experience.  Must be able to supervise the daily activities of a small staff team as well as monitoring visiting parents.  Knowledge of state and community resources helpful.  Position can be physically and emotionally demanding.

Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays including each Friday from 3:30 - 9:15 p.m.; Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 6:15 p.m.; the second Monday of each month from 6:00 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.; and once a week for a 1.5 supervisors meeting.  (The schedule is not negotiable.)

Bilingual Advocate, Part-Time (18 hours/week)
Domestic Violence Services Program

Therapist - Full-Time       
Domestic Violence Treatment Program

To provide individual and group psychotherapy to children and youth who have been exposed to intimate partner violence. Responsibilities will also include providing therapeutic family interventions when appropriate. Requires a current State of Delaware license in an established helping profession, e.g., Clinical Social Work or Mental Health Counseling. Applicants must have a minimum of three years post-graduate experience as a psychotherapist. Experience should include providing services to persons affected by domestic violence as well as providing services directly to children. Services will be provided at two office locations and will include some evening hours.
